Wedding photos at Norwood Park

We’ve been looking forward to taking wedding photos at Norwood Park, we’ve not been here for a little while but it’s a wedding venue that we really like. Located in Southwell – they were featured on Countryfile recently as being responsible for the popularisation of the Bramley Apple! Whow knew! Anyway it is a beautiful house with lovely big rooms and a separate coach house for the evening reception. I had met Sam & Chris at several wedding fayres where we bonded over our love of dogs! And they brought their lovely dogs with them for their engagement shoot in the gorgous Peak District countryside.

Bridal preparations

We arrived at Norwood Park ready to meet Sam and her bridesmaids, but it seems Sam was still crazy busy at home with her table plan!! 😂 The lovely Penelope from The Frangipani Tree soon arrived though and let us know that they were on their way!! Just as Sam was unloading everything out of the car, Chris arrived – eeeeek. I don’t think he saw her though so all’s OK!! Chris had had a busy morning organising his men and keeping his lovely dad in check!

Reception

After a great ceremony, it was out into the sunshine for drinks and photos with family. The best part was, the dogs came along too! Happy days – love them!! Olive the puppy beagle and Paisley the Jack Russell – great fun and they got a huge amount of cuddles from everyone – me included of course!! Everyone had a great time, and were almost late for dinner as Sam’s dad was fully engaged in an epic game of giant Jenga! 😂 The speeches were before dinner and they were great, I was especially touched by Chris’s speech – he speaks really well and is so sincere it was hard not to be touched by his words.

As the day started to fade, we headed out into the grounds for a bit for a few photos before evening guests started to arrive and it was lovely to just hang out together knowing that all the main formalities had been done.

All that was left to do was dance, party and have an amazing evening!!
