Well, what can I say about The Haybarn other than it’s an incredible wedding venue for photography in Herefordshire. It’s one of those barn wedding venues that I LOVE to photograph at. Super relaxed, not at all formal or stuffy. It’s surrounded by amazing grounds and open fields with plenty of opportunities for photography. The sun sets beautifully on the horizon too so if you’re prepared for a little walk at golden hour, you’ll be richly rewarded with beautiful warm sunlight. There’s a stream flowing through the grounds, lots of beautiful trees…oh, and they’ve got Donkeys!!! How awesome is that!

As a wedding photographer, The Haybarn ticks so many other boxes too – You’ve got space for a semi-outdoor ceremony which is beautiful. The barn itself lets a load of filtered, natural sunlight into the room and provides beautiful, soft light on the rustic steel sheets that make up the walls. Then, as the sun goes down and the party starts, the room is filled with pockets of subtle light that enables everyone to dance, inhibited, partying the night away!

Honestly, it’s one of those venues that I visited last year and completely fell in love with. I can’t wait to be photographing my next wedding there at The Haybarn in Hereford at this amazing venue.

Peggy + Alex

So, our gorgeous couple here are Peggy & Alex. Inside and out, two of the most beautiful humans that I think we’ve met! So so lovely – Right from the first day we met, I was made to feel like part of the family. Big hugs on arrival and the laughter never stopped during thier wedding photography all day long there at The Haybarn. You might notice a few photos missing from the ceremony here – Alex is a total badass and is part of the military, along with some of his mates, so, for his security, these photos have been left out. However, as soon as he got changed into his suit, the party really started!

Trust and love

What we really loved about Peggy and Alex, apart from their warmth and loveliness towards me… Was that Alex was dreading the photography part of the day. That’s totally cool – We get it… It’s pretty unnatural to have your photo taken – not everyone likes it! I hate it too. However, by the end of the day, Alex was super chilled out and I think secretly enjoyed the photo side of things. I love to be able to show my couples that wedding photography can be fun. It can be relaxed, beautiful and certainly not a part of the day to dread. They showed complete trust in me on the day, and anytime I suggested anything, they were 100% up for it! The haybarn is filled with opportunities for wedding photography, so we’re so glad we managed to get the time to explore some of them. We totally love these pair!!!
