Skiathos Wedding Photographer
As a destination wedding photographer, the Greek Island of Skiathos is one of those places that I’d never visited before with a camera, until this weekend. Geoff and Kirsty kindly invited me to be their Skiathos wedding photographer and OMG, what an awesome week we had!!! Scooters, gyros, sun, sea & boats. Rogue cats waiting to be adopted by Geoff and Kirsty, more gyros, dancing, tears, laughter and even more gyros. I LOVED every second of it! It also helps that Geoff is one of my closest friends in the wedding industry and is an awesome videographer himself. The pressure was on to create some beautiful, meaningful photos from their wedding in Skiathos.

The Greek Island of Skiathos
So, Skiathos. Famous for its beautiful rustic beaches, planes that land so low they almost sweep you off your feet and some of the best gyros in the world, I was excited to pack my camera bag and leave Derbyshire to become a Skiathos Wedding photographer. Just a few hours flight away, it’s so close to home. However yet feels like a million miles away from the green fields of Derbyshire. With beautiful sandy beaches and traditional terracotta roofs in the old town, it’s the perfect place for a destination wedding.
As a Skaithos wedding photographer, it was awesome to hang out with such fun people. Yeah, we had to create meaningful images and tell the story from the day, but we just got to hang out with friends. Joining in with everything that was going on for the day makes being a destination wedding photographer such an amazing job to have.

Skiathos Weddings
Working alongside George from Skiathos Weddings, Kirsty and Geoff had planned an amazing day. Starting out with a ceremony in the Old Town port on the Bourtzi peninsular. Then a trip on a local boat, the whole wedding party was transported over to Mystique Beach Club on the opposite side of the island. After a slightly precarious disembarkation from the boat and safely on dry land, drinks flowed, dancing happened and we had so much fun. We laughed, cried and ate awesome platters of Greek meats. We learnt things during speeches and joined in with traditional Greek dancing and partied the night away under the beautiful Skiathos skies.
Big love to Steve from Blue Ridge Videography too. Another great friend in the industry who was shooting the video. Between us we battled the 35+ degree heat and transported kit around the islands together, working super hard to give Kirsty and Geoff images and videos to remember!
I wanted to say a massive thanks to you guys for trusting us to be your wedding photographer there in Skiathos. It’s never easy letting go of the control when you’re in the wedding industry yourself. However, you gave us free rein to shoot and hopefully, we’ve done you proud.
Here’s my preview for what will be a very memorable day. Grab a drink, turn it up loud, hit full screen and enjoy.
So there you go. That was our Greek adventure with the amazing Kirsty and Geoff and thier super cool baby, Frankie. Thanks again guys for an awesome few days in Skiathos – I loved every second of it!
