Shiningford Manor Wedding photographer – Leah & Mike’s wedding in the Peak District
As a Derbyshire wedding photographer, we always look forward to our weddings locally. There was something about Mike and Leah’s wedding that stuck out in our diary as a real highlight of the year for us and it didn’t disappoint. We’d met Leah, Mike and Mike’s mum a few times as they’re serial wedding fayre goers, so we knew how lovely they all were which to us, makes all the difference for a wedding. If everyone is super cool and friendly, we know it’s going to be an amazing day.
The perfect wedding venue in Derbyshire
Leah and Mike picked a beautiful venue in Derbyshire, Shiningford Farm and hired all the grounds and cottages for the whole weekend and made a real event of the wedding with all their friends and family staying together for the weekend. After a slightly dodgy weather forecast, it thundered quite heavily the night before and was still raining a little the morning of the wedding – thankfully by the time we were ready for the ceremony, the sun had come out and it was really heating up! We did a few family photos just before dinner and decided to leave Mike and Leah’s photos until after dinner when we had a sneaky suspicion that the light would be beautiful, and the gamble certainly paid off in spades. We had some beautiful golden hour sunshine and they both looked amazing just wandering around in it!
Wonderful local wedding suppliers
There were so many of our wedding industry friends helping out at this wedding which is always lovely to see – A beautiful cake table from www.yummylittlecakes.co.uk, amazing petal marquee from www.topmarquesuk.com, catering provided by www.kempandkempcatering.co.uk, cool styling by www.darbyandjoanvintage.co.uk and gorgeous flowers by www.tinekefloraldesigns.co.uk, plus many many more…!
Leah and Mike – Thank you both for making me feel so welcome at your wedding – It was a lovely day and I really enjoyed re-living it while I edited the photos and I hope you enjoy seeing it all again!
