Pauntley Court – A stunning wedding venue in Gloucestershire
Before I introduce you to Sarah and Simon, you’ve got to see Pauntley Court if you’re thinking of getting married. It’s an amazingly unique wedding venue in the heart of Gloucestershire. There are some stunning gardens and open landscapes at Pauntley Court which make great opportunities for wedding photography. There’s room for a tipi or marquee in the grounds too….. perfect for a super cool and relaxed wedding. What is there not to love about this wedding venue!!
Sarah + Simon
So, please meet Sarah + Simon. Two beautiful humans. Boy, has Simon hit the jackpot in meeting Sarah. She’s funny, down to earth with that awesome northern, no-nonsense approach to life, she’s beautiful, a pleasure to be around and just makes you feel like a best friend when you’re with her. Mind you, Sarah has done pretty well for herself too! Simon is such a laugh. He’s the sort of guy that when you rock up to a wedding, just wants to say hello and make you part of the day. Such a great pair. And, they’ve got themselves a ready-made family too with Simon’s twins, Ben and Daisy, and their daughter together, Scarlett – all three of which are lovely children!
I think it’s safe to say we love these guys!!
Sarah & Simon have hung in there, during all this craziness of covid and postponements. By the skin of their teeth, they became one of the first weddings this year with more than 30 guests. It was so nice to be back out in the real world again, photographing weddings with lots of guests. Well done guys for hanging in there!!
The Wedding Day
The day was great. They had a tipi on the grounds of Pauntley Court which always makes for great wedding photography. There was amazing food from Clever Chefs and lots of entertainment from their two bands. There was even a rogue chicken that spent the afternoon wandering about hoovering up any canapés that got away from people.
Mainly it was all about fun – Just lots of people finally being allowed to hang out together and have a great time, and that’s exactly what we all did!

If you’re looking for a wedding venue with accommodation, you’ve struck lucky too. There are 10 bedrooms, sleeping up to 24 guests. If exclusivity is your thing…bingo! Yes, you get the place to yourself…after all, who wants to share their wedding day with someone else. Make a whole weekend of it and invite everyone to enjoy all that this part of the world has to offer. If you decide to have a church wedding, there’s a Norman Church on the site too, or get married outside and use the ballroom as the licenced civil ceremony room which means there are so many options available.
