OMG, I LOVE being a Morzine Wedding Photographer so much. Surrounded by snowy mountains, lakes and trees… It has to be my happy place. To be able to photograph weddings in the French Alps is amazing. I have to pinch myself sometimes to check this is really my job. Did I mention I get to ski too, whilst photographing beautiful couples at the top of epic mountain resorts. How cool is my job as a skiing wedding photographer?!! Being from Derbyshire, I don’t get a whole load of opportunities to ski, so a quick hop on a flight to Geneva with my camera, over winter is always very welcome!

Ok, so skiing aside – what a stunning place Morzine is, especially as a wedding photographer. Set deep in the Chablais mountain range between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc is a beautiful Alpine village with a lovely river running through it’s heart. Whether you’re a skier, a mountain biker, or just there for the epic views, it has to be one of the most beautiful places to get married in the French Alps.

Getting married in Morzine

Head up to Lac de Montriond and you’re in for another stunning little surprise. Set in the valley of the mountains is a beautiful emerald green lake – The perfect spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Whether it’s the middle of Summer, or deep into the snowy ski season, it’s epically beautiful either way!

THIS is why Nicole & Nelson chose to fly all their wedding guests from the other side of the globe in Australia to get married here in Morzine. That makes me a happy wedding photographer from the moment I arrive in Morzine. The atmosphere was awesome – I KNEW we were going to have a great time!

What an awesome couple of days we had. Nicole & Nelson hired the stunning Sapphire Estate chalet in the middle of Morzine for the bridal hair and makeup and stayed there all week, continuing the party with their friends and family long after the wedding day. They got married on the edge of the lake and had a beautiful meal at L’Auberg, Du Bout Du Lac de Montriond, before heading home to continue the party back at their Chalet.

We then headed to the top of the Ski resort the following day for some skiing photos. Nicole in her Eva Lendel dress, looked absolutely stunning in the golden hour sun set over Avoriaz. What a frickin’ amazing spot for photos. As a skiing wedding photographer in Morzine, I couldn’t have really asked for much more!! What a beautiful trip to start my 2024 wedding season!
