The Mill Barns wedding
There were so many reasons to look forward to this wedding!! We’d photographed Beth’s sisters’ wedding back in 2014 so it was great to see Emma & John again with their gorgeous daugher, Iris! We’ve also been looking forward to seeing The Mill Barns for a while now. It’s owned and run by the same people who have The Ashes & Pendrell Hall and they are wonderful venues, so we expected nothing less from The Mill Barns. We weren’t disappointed. Formerly the site of a 17th century water mill The Mill Barns is a big venue, with a separate room each for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. It also has rooms for up to 50 guests! Did we mention that it looks like it’s floating on water? An amazing venue!
Bridal Preparations
Beth got ready downstairs in The Dressing Room with all her bridesmaids and little niece. Lots of giggles, lots of singing, a few tears and many glasses of prosecco going round. That’s what we love about weddings…. Friends coming together and just having the BEST time!!
The wedding ceremony & reception
Josh was actually pretty nervous as he waited for Beth to come down the aisle. Soon however, she arrived and everything was good again As a little surprise for Beth, Josh had arranged for one of their friends to sing. He appeared on the balcony just as Beth & Josh were about to walk down the aisle – it was a lovely surprise and everyone had a little sing along before heading out!!!
After the ceremony, it was time to enjoy some drinks and photos in and around the venue. Luckily it had snowed a couple of days before, so there was lots of snow on the ground still which looked beautiful in photos. We could have photographed there for hours. However, with everyone getting ready for dinner, we headed inside for some food and speeches!
After dinner it was dark, so we took the opportunity for some photos outside and finished the night with a sparkler shot – A great way to finish an amazing day!!
Beth, Josh…. Thanks for being awesome all day – we had a right laugh with you guys and it was great to see your family again Here’s just a few of our favourites from the day, but be sure to click through to the Full Gallery….

Here’s a little preview for you, turn it up LOUD, and enjoy! 🙂
