Hothorpe Hall wedding photos
We were very excited to be asked to do some Hothorpe Hall wedding photos!! We met Paige and Anti at The Giant Wedding Show, had a good chat and they booked us not long after 😀. We’d not been to Hothorpe Hall before and we were very happy to find that it is a lovely old manor house with pretty gardens and a terrific view of the surrounding countryside!
The bride Paige and her bridesmaids and mum were getting ready in one of the huge conference rooms upstairs. When we arrived hair and makeup was in full swing and everyone was happy and looking forward to the day.
In the meantime, Anti (the groom) and his groomsmen arrived and headed off to get dressed. When I went into their room, I found Anti in his bright pink pants and not a lot else!! Great bunch of guys – all really friendly and funny! Soon Anti was dressed in his salmon pink suit and white shoes – what a guy!!
The wedding ceremony
The ceremony was delayed due to the groom’s family being stuck in horrendous traffic but everyone was relaxed and the weather was lovely so it was no bother! After a lovely wedding ceremony, it was out into the gardens for drinks, canapés and a few photos. Everyone headed into dinner after a while, ready for speeches!
For the evening reception, Paige and Anit invited lots more guests so it was a great atmosphere and one of their wedding guests sang the first dance so beautifully. They had also booked The Hidden Gem pizza truck which was amazing and all the guests were queuing up for it!
We had a great day with Paige & Anti, here’s just a quick Sneak Peek of a few of our favourites……
The History of Hothorpe Hall
Horthorpe Hall in Northamptonshire is now used for weddings but it was orginally built in 1801 close to the site of a former Tudor manor. There was once a village in Hothorpe too, but the owner of the hall removed all the residents to a nearby village and laid out the park as it’s seen today! But much further back there seems to have been a building on the site as far back as the Domesday Book!! It was also used as housing for evacuated children during World War II and was almost demolished in 1955 but thankfully it was bought and eventually converted into a wedding venue.
Wedding options at Hothorpe Hall
Horthorpe Hall offers two options for weddings, one in the hall itself and one in The Woodlands. The hall offers bride & grooms a beautiful manor ouse with lovely gardens and spectacular countryside views. The Woodlands offers a rustic wedding venue with an outdoorsy vibe. You can get married outside underneath the trees, with birds singing and the river running alongside. Amazing!
