I’ve been so excited to bring my style of wedding photography to Hedsor House. James is a wedding videographer himself, so knows all the things that make weddings great, and Zoë is a professional singer, so I knew that the day would be full of music and the party was epic. They didn’t disappoint. I’ll tell you more about those pair of awesome humans in a bit… first, Hedsor House.
Hedsor House – Wedding Venue
Hedsor House has to be one of the venues that, as a wedding photographer, you’d find hard to beat. The grounds are immaculate, the views for golden hour are stunning and the wedding venue itself is just mind blowing. Finding everything that you could possibly want for a country house wedding, all in one place is something a little bit special. As a wedding photographer, you don’t often come across a venue like Hedsor House, but when you do…Boy oh boy does it make me do a little happy dance!
What also makes it special is that the venue has been the home of some amazing blockbusters filmed there – Downton Abbey, Red 2, The Special Relationship, The Golden Compass to name a few and as such has been home to some serious A-list celebrities including Mark Ronson, Nicole Kidman, Dustin Hoffman, Richard E. Grant, Johnny Depp, Tom Hardey, Maggie Smith, Ricky Gervais…the list goes on and on.
So, a little bit about Hedsor House from a photographers point of view.
It’s a beautiful country house set in the lovely Buckinghamshire Countryside, between the M and M40 roads into London. This stunning Georgian stately home boasts over 100 acres of private parkland as well as accommodation for up to 26 wedding guests. More than that, the bridal suite claims big things, being the largest in Europe. It’s beautiful too. With high ceilings and beautifully large windows, it’s flooded with lots of natural light which is a perfect for Hedsor House wedding photography while your hair and makeup artists are doing their thaang. The rooms are beautifully authentic to the age of the house and the grounds offer lots of options, whether you’d like a walk in some soft long grass, or photos overlooking the view at golden hour. It’s got it all.
James & Zoe’s summer wedding
Now, onto Zoe & James. I’m not sure I can say enough great things about these two without typing an entire essay. Not only are they both beautiful people, but they’re so kind, thoughtful, fun, energetic and are genuinely two of the nicest people you could meet. This is only reflected by the amount of awesome people that they’ve surrounded themselves with. We had such a great time with Zoe and James. It was only made better by how amazing all the guests were too. So much love. So much fun and the party speaks for itself!!! 🍸
I’m not going to go into everything that we shot on the day here – You can see all that awesomeness in the photos, so for now just know that I wanted to thank you guys for being so nice on the wedding day. I always looking forward to being a wedding photographer at Hedsor House and you guys totally rocked your wedding!!!! 🤘
