– Hardwick Hall Wedding Photos –
In case you don’t know, I LOVE styled photoshoots. It’s always a great time for me to work with amazing people in the wedding industry and try out lighting techniques and photos that I wouldn’t always get time to do at a wedding, and this shoot was no exception. Hardwick Hall is a stunning wedding venue in the heart of Derbyshire and to be given behind the scenes access to this amazing Elizabethan country house was a real pleasure!!
We teamed up with those fab girls at Honeysuckle & Castle who run the weddings at Hardwick, and they brought together an amazing team of suppliers for the photoshoot. We had so many ideas to cram in such a short space of time in order to not only avoid bumping into too many of the general public who’d come for a nice day out around the hall, but to make the most of the amazing rooms hidden inside this epic building. We spent a little while with Jack while the girls were having their hair and makeup done – All the curtains were all closed everywhere which made it lovely and dark and give us lots of little pockets of light creeping through the gaps. As soon as the girls were ready we took it up a gear – All the curtains were opened by the hall staff, and we worked like crazy to keep ahead of the general public who were about to arrive. After a little while in the house, we managed to get out onto the rooftop for a few minutes during lunch – How awesome is that – on top of a National Trust building, with a bride and groom, a big ass flash and a whole lot of love. It doesn’t get much better than that – loved it!
I could go on and on all day about how awesome this venue is, but I wont – Just take a look at the photos and see if you agree!! 🙂
