Lake District Weddings

As a Lake District wedding photographer, Eden Barn is one of those venues that I’ll never get tired of visiting. It’s beautifully run by a family who created the venue for their daughters wedding. It’s safe to say it’s gone from strength to strength since then. I can see why. The Lake District is such a beautiful place to get married. Eden Barn is nestled right in the heart of the lakes in the Eden Valley, in Little Musgrave a sleepy village just outside of Kirkby Stephen, between Kendal and Penrith.

As a wedding photographer, Eden Barn is suited perfectly to my style. There are lots of gorgeous, warm fairy lights to give the tall stone barn some character which I love. A room for the bridal party to have their hair and makeup done before the wedding ceremony, and a dedicated outdoor ceremony area amongst lawns and rustic fields.
There is even a beautifully created “wild” area full of wildflowers with a quaint little stream running through it. This makes it a perfect place for your golden hour wedding photos at Eden Barn in the late eveing sunshine.

I can absolutally see why Kerris and Tom travelled from sunny Derbyshire to have thier wedding in the Lake District. I’d have done so too! Especially after having tasted the food their for thier wedding breakfast – it was pretty awesome!

Now, on to Kerris and Tom – What a couple. I’d previously met Kerris at her brother’s wedding in Rhodes last year. It was so awesome to come back and hang out with the family again and be the photographer for their wedding at Eden Barn. Their day was filled with so much fun and laughter. They even have a stack of newspapers printed up detailing the day, as well as an actual champagne tower. Did I mention ‘his and hers’ Rolexes as morning wedding presents?! Very cool.

What a truly awesome couple – I had so much fun hanging out with you guys – we laughed, cried and everything in bewtween and all I want to do is repeat it all over again!
