Devon Wedding Photographer

What is there not to love about being a Devon wedding photographer? It’s full of beautiful scenery, beaches galore and some stunning rock faces to boot. As a wedding photographer, I always love traveling to Devon. Being from landlocked Derbyshire, there’s something special about going to the sea for photos. Then, throw into the mix a beautiful bride and groom, willing to clamber on the rocks at the beach for golden-hour sunset photos, just makes me love my job even more.

Warrick and Jenny were no exception to this. They are bloody epic!! Warrick contacted me a while back about being his wedding photographer down there at Sandy Cove in Devon. Not only was his excitement for the photos was palpable and so refreshing, but he’s such a nice guy! I LOVE it when my couples are truly invested in their wedding photography and all they want to do is make awesome memories but also create something epic for the wall. So when the chance to pack up my photography kit and head down to Devon for their wedding came along, it was an easy yes from me.

The Sandy Cove Hotel – A beautiful Devon wedding venue

The Sandy Cove Hotel is such a beautiful venue too for a Devon Wedding Photographer. Set on the North Devon coast, overlooking Newberry Beach in Combe Martin, it’s pretty much the perfect place to get married. Amazing views, a nice contemporary pavilion building for your drinks reception, and a breathtaking spot to hold your outdoor ceremony. It’s awesome!

Warrick + Jenny

I had the BEST time with Warrick and Jenny. But that’s no surprise. They’re both awesome. What was a surprise was how good they were in front of the camera. They’d both told me they were not great at having their photo taken. A familiar story with couples…I get it, it’s not an easy thing to stand and be photographed. But these two were awesome. As it turns out, they are so beautiful together, loads of fun, an infectious energy for creating awesome images and just lovely to hang out with – What more could I ask for as a Devon wedding photographer!
