Cranage Hall wedding

We’ve been looking forward to this Cranage Hall wedding since Ben met Emily & Dan for their engagement shoot – they are such a fun couple! We just laughed and laughed about all sorts while we wandered around where they live, shooting some cool photos as a little practice before the wedding. Honestly, after meeting them both, I couldn’t wait for the wedding!

So here we are, 6 months later…it’s wedding time!!!!

It was a pretty nice day for a wedding – after all, it was April here in the UK. It could rain, snow, thunder, or be the hottest day of the year!!!! As it turns out, it was just perfect. Not too hot, but not too cold either – Result!!

We joined Dan at home with his next-door neighbour & best man Darren. Everything was calm….almost too calm, but that’s not a bad thing! All suited and booted, it was time to head off to Cranage Hall to see what Emily and her mum were getting up to.

Cranage Hall

Formerly the country seat of the Armistead family, De Vere Cranage Estate Hotel is still very much a rural retreat today, tucked away in a peaceful corner of Cheshire. Designed by British architect Lewis Wyatt, red brick, warm yellow sandstone, and green lawns make this Grade II listed building a perfect place for a wedding. It’s gorgeous! Emily was upstairs in  the bridal suites having her hair and makeup done. It was almost as calm and relaxed as Dans preps!!! A good start to the day 🙂

The ceremony

As soon as Emily slipped into her stunning dress, we headed downstairs where Dan was eagerly waiting. Once the owl had successfully delivered the rings to the front of the aisle (phew!! no “owl gate” hitting the news this time!), Emily and Dan were now Mr & Mrs, and it was time to start the party!! We noticed it didn’t take some of the guests long to get their own party started with a large bottle of Polish Brandy going around 🙂 Saw you guys… busted!!!

After the family photos, we did some photos outside and made the most of the beautiful grounds and pretty much just went for a wander with two awesome people that felt like hanging out with friends! We also love to keep busy during dinner, so we go exploring looking for interesting little corners in the venue. We found a dark room that had been used to store lots of chairs in, and with a bit of creative lighting, made it work for a couple of cool evening portraits.

You guys were awesome – we had such a great time with you and can’t wait for a catch up soon! Here’s just a few of our favourites!!
