Ok, so it was the HOTTEST day of the year – Hotter than it’s been in a long time, but Armathwaite Hall shone in all it’s glory and is the perfect place in the Lake District for wedding photography.

This is where we met Shorna & Paul. Two beautiful souls who have a love of life and having fun together along with their awesome dog “princess Tilly”. However, these two are ying and yang when it comes to photos – Paul hates having his photo taken, and Shorna loves it, with her self-confessed obsession with waaaaaaay too many selfies & photos on her phone! That’s totally cool with us – We get it… having your photo taken is a pretty unnatural thing… Everyone watching you. You’er stood around wondering if you’re supposed to smile or not, it’s horrible. We get it. But Paul…Dude… You totally nailed it. I reckon you even secretly enjoyed it by the end of the day!!? 😉

A Ceremony at The Old Church in Keswick

Aside from the cooling comfort of the old Keswick church during the ceremony, I have to mention just how hot it was everywhere else… we were all melting! One guest even joked that she’d rather give birth again than get back on that bus without air conditioning and sit in Keswick’s traffic.

Thankfully, the moment we arrived at Armathwaite Hall, cold beers and chilled glasses of prosecco were waiting. If the magician caught you at the right time, you might have even found yourself holding a block of ice as part of his trick. The sun blazed all day, but the atmosphere couldn’t have been better—everyone celebrated as Shorna and Paul tied the knot and had the best day imaginable.

I could write forever about how incredible these two are, but for now, I just want to say thank you for letting me be part of it all. I had such a brilliant time and loved hanging out with you both.
