Hey, I’m Ben – Musician turned photographer. Married to the amazingly well-organised Hannah. Real-life married couple, professional third wheels, and I quote “the absolute legends behind HBA Photography”. (Thanks Sarah and Paul). We truly believe wedding photos should feel like you – natural, fun, emotional, and full of the good stuff. No stiff posing, no fake smiles – just real moments and really REALLY great memories.
Whilst I’m behind the camera, Hannah is often behind all the emails and the planning. She brings order to my chaotic world and indulges most of my ‘next big projects’ which so far have included building our own home, a scuba diving obsession, and bespoke knife creation… yes, you read that right!
When we’re not ‘weddinging’, you can find us walking our dog and obsessing about where we’re gonna eat next and drinking coffee.
Things I love
CHOCOHOLIC
I love chocolate. It’s the only reason I work out. I love a bit of filthy Cadburys… It’s my secret addiction. Tell no-one!
RUNNING
I say running, but actually mean triathlon. Yep, I’m the annoying guy who always talks about Ironman. But I only exercise so I can eat all the chocolate and cake I like. If I can run to a bakery, eat a doughnut, and come home, I’m happy.
COFFEE ADDICT
Nothing can separate me from my coffee machine. I am Ben and I am a coffee addict. Espresso, flat white, these are my addictions.
PIZZA BETRAYED ME
For years, I proudly claimed proper sourdough pizza was the greatest food on earth. Then, completely out of nowhere, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease. So now I’m on a mission to find gluten-free pizza that doesn’t suck. If you know somewhere that nails it, you absolutely have to tell me.
ADVENTURE
Whether it’s jumping out of a plane, SCUBA diving, skiing, or travelling Europe in a van – You don’t have to ask me twice for an adventure. Hold my beer, I’m in!
THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD
MEETING THE PERFECT PERSON – WHAT ARE THE ODDS?
My mind is blown when I think about the probability of us actually meeting that one human who doesn’t bug the crap out of you. The one who makes you belly laugh or snort espresso through your nose. That perfect person. The odds are insane! So when I say how honoured I am that I get to photograph that moment you say ‘I do”, I REALLY mean it! My job is awesome!
