Della & Nick’s wedding photos at the awesome West Mill
Aaaah… Della + Nick!! What can I say about these two beautiful humans. Firstly we had THE BEST day there at The West Mill. Honestly, it felt like we were hanging out with two mates. Secondly, we learnt a few things….
Number 1 – Della is the most beautiful, smiley person. Fact.
Number 2 – Nick doesn’t like Laphroaig Whisky…No surprise…Whisky sucks! Lol.
And Number 3 – Apparently HANNAH “IS LADS!!” 😂
We have been so looking forward to Della & Nick’s wedding at the awesome West Mill. We met for coffee a few days before the big day and we were reminded again how great they are! According to Nick, Della had been having a few bridezilla moments over the last two weeks, but I don’t believe it for a second – she’s too lovely!
Anyway, I joined Nick and his two best men at The Mickleover Court Hotel for some of their preps – there has been an ‘incident’ with Paul’s nose and the side of the swimming pool the night before, the iron was rubbish so they couldn’t iron their shirts, Alex was swigging back Monster to help recover from previous evening – but apart from that, all was good! 😂 After much much nervous pacing, Nick was finally ready and prepared to head over to The West Mill.
Ben was with Della and her ladies in the morning on the top floor of The West Mill. The wonderful Jenni and Alison were already there on hair and makeup duty and everyone was on great form. As the ceremony approached, Della slipped into her Essense of Australia dress and looked stunning – like a movie star!! After the wedding, we headed downstairs for confetti and photos in the warm Autumn sunshine. Blue skies, a light autumn breeze and the sun was shining – the perfect day to sit outside and sip prosecco and gin from a horsebox trailer and soak up what an amazing day everyone was having. Time flew as we had lots of fun with everyone, taking a few formals of the families and the bridal party and then a quick explore of the mill building and grounds before heading in for dinner and speeches.
We always like to have a play in the evening when the sun goes down and the alcohol blanket is in full force. We decided to take a cool bridal party photo and then whisked Della and Nick upstairs back into the ceremony room for the last photo of the evening under the industrial lights.
We could have kept on shooting there all night. However, people gotta party so we hit the dance floor and danced the night away.
Thank you guys so much for such a great day – We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was awesome to get to know you a little better!
