Now it’s time for Part 2 of Jenny & Alex’s wedding – you can see Part One here! This was a few days after and this one was to be based around Jenny’s Chinese heritage, hosted by her parents. So the day started at Jenny’s parent’s house – We arrived just as the girls had finished cooking up a storm in the kitchen in preparation for Alex’s arrival with his guys. Alex had to perform tasks set by Jenny’s bridesmaids in order to be allowed entry into the house to collect his waiting bride, all of which were at a financial cost should he not complete any of the tasks! Luckily, the guys nailed it and got stuck into the challenges and completed them all! I love these games and some of the ones the girls had come up with for Alex and his guys were particularly interesting!!
When Alex was finally allowed in to the tune of £299 (!!), they all took part in the traditional tea ceremony where the couple serve the family tea.
Then it was off for a Chinese Banquet at Chung Ying Gardens in Birmingham for lots of family photos!
We love wedding with different cultures, and this was our first Chinese wedding – Whether it’s traditions from China, India, Thailand, America or Europe, we love them all, because weddings are awesome, and seeing two people in love, wherever they’re from, have a great time with their friends and family is the best thing ever. Fact! THAT’S why we love our job 🙂
