Wedding photos at Newton House Barns, Newton Solney
A colourful summer wedding with flower garlands!
Say hello to Jamie & Tina! They got married at Newton House Barns, a lovely countryside wedding venue right on the Derbyshire/Staffordhire border. The village of Newton Solney is beautiful and I can actually see my childhood home from there which makes it all the more lovely! There are excellent views across the surrounding countryside, but also landscaped gardens with a pond and pagoda for outdoor ceremonies.
I first met Jamie at the Osmaston Park Wedding Show when he approached me asking if I was Ben, if I played the sax, toured in a Floyd band and now shoot weddings…. Stalker??! Well, he’s not a stalker, but we have a mutual connection in that we had the same sax teacher growing up! Small world!
Anyway, these two are a super cool couple and their only brief to me was “NO cheese” – Ok then, you’re booked 🙂 They got married outside and the rings were delivered by their lovely dog role (well almost)!
We did a few family shots, had a wander round with the bridal party and then found a dirty old shed door to play with. Acres of stunning gardens, and we pick the least attractive part of the estate… That’s how we roll! 🙂
We had a great time with these two and it was like photographing two friends. Hope you had a great time on your surprise honeymoon guys!
