Its not every day you get married so why not take the chance to do something very cool on your wedding day once the sun goes down? We decided to have a bit of a play with some torches and see what light painting effects we could come up with. Then we got bored with the safety of torches so we thought we do the same thing with flames to make things a bit more interesting….. Love the effect it creates! Fancy this on your wedding evening? Grahame was great leading up to the wedding day, it’s not that often that we deal with the groom rather than the bride, but he was just so keen to get everything right! This was our first time at Brownsover Hall Hotel in Rugby, but it is a great wedding venue – beautiful building, great gardens and some interesting features to make the most off. Keri looked gorgeous and for anyone needing ideas for flowers – have a look at these! Anyway we loved this wedding and here a few of the pictures from the day…

Sharon & Lee chose the Holiday Inn in Ellesmere Port for their wedding day and what a great location it was! You rarely find a Holiday Inn surrounded by interesting scenery, but this one is surrounded by the canal system which made for some lovely pics! Sharon looked stunning in her dress, her bridesmaids looked great in purple and Lee scrubbed up pretty well too! Here are a few shots from the day…

We met Ava, Dan and their little girl Angel back in February; it never fails to amaze me how quickly time passes. They got married at The Hallmark Hotel in Derby – it’s a great wedding venue because although it is in the city centre it still has a lovely garden for photos. Anyway Dan arrived with the guys in a beautiful Bentley followed by Ava in a classic Rolls-Royce and they had a lovely ceremony serenaded by a harpist. Great weather for photos so everything was done outside, Ava really is a beautiful young lady and we made sure that we got plenty of images of her on her own as well as the photos of the couple together. Angel was also on top form – I just love the photo with her in her Dad’s top hat!! Here are a few of our favs from the day…

We did an engagement shoot for Ollie & Hayley back at the end of August and we had a fab time then – they are both very photogenic… so we knew that the wedding at none other than Belvoir Castle near Grantham was going to be a stunner! They’ve had a rough old time getting this wedding organised – the first venue they picked went bust and caused them an awful amount of stress so all credit to them that they managed to arrange this beautiful wedding. We were to do the photography, the saxophone during the meal and the disco in the evening so we made sure we arrived early to get everything set up. The whole castle is just stunning and we could have photographed for hours but we took far too many as it was! The evening included cannon fire and fireworks and finally a big red bus arrived to take everyone home! Although we needed a week off to recover from this wedding (that castle has got far too many stairs!) we had a fantastic day with Hayley & Ollie – they are just such genuinely lovely people and they obviously think the absolute world of each other. There are A LOT of photos in the full gallery, so here are just a few of our favourites!!

This was to be a wedding of two halves…. a Sikh wedding in the morning at the Gurdwara in Nottingham and then a Western reception at Thrumpton Hall near Nottingham. I thought this was a great idea – not least because the couple got two different outfits for a start!!
Anyway, we arrived at the family house at 7:45am to capture all of Jusleen’s traditional Sikh hair and makeup before all the family headed off to the Temple in Nottingham for the traditional Sikh ceremony – as Jusleen went off inside to hide, Martin arrived in his specially borrowed Porsche (he was in a full Sikh wedding outfit with full beard, turban and sword) and he wasn’t allowed inside until Jusleen’s sisters had played plenty of tricks on him! After the ceremony and the signing of the register they headed off to Thrumpton Hall – this is an ever popular Nottinghamshire wedding venue – beautiful house with lovely grounds for the marquee. The couple separated again at this point so they could change into their Western outfits and Martin could have a shave. The weather just about held off long enough for the majority of the photos before the Indian meal was served. We took ALOT of photos at this wedding but we couldn’t help ourselves! Here are a few of the best…

What a crazy weather day!! Quite high winds and the odd burst of rain, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Claire got ready at home with the bridesmaids before heading off to the cathedral for a really lovely ceremony including music from a very talented chorister. As often happens, it stopped raining as soon as Claire and Ian left the church, stopped for the photos and then started again when they got in the car!! We stopped off at a local park to get some photos of the two of them together with some beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine. Anyway, Ben played the sax during the meal and then we did the disco at night too. It was a great wedding and Claire & Ian make a fab couple…here are just a few of our favourites from the day…

Rebecca & Gary had clearly put so much thought into this wedding; stunning car, great venue, beautiful decorations and even special wedding pants!! The couples little boys were the stars of the show – Alfie was into everything and little Lennon is just so cute! The weather held out for photos at the church and down by the lake at the golf club – a great day was had by all. May we wish Rebecca & Gary all the best for the rest of their lives together…here are some of our favourites from the day…

Wow, what can I say – this venue was huge! For those of you who know Reading, Wokefield Park is tucked away near the little village of Mortimer and is a golf and hotel complex incorporating a BMW development office. Liz & Matthew had their reception in The Mansion House overlooking the gardens and lake. We had nice weather to make the most of the grounds and even got a ride in a golf cart! Lots of nice touches in this wedding: a woodwind trio to play throughout their meal and little toy cars as favours – a really lovely venue and a very happy couple!!
