Is it June already…?!

The wedding party in the golden sunset

Derbyshire Wedding Photographer

It is June already??!!

Bugger! I’m sure I should have written another blog since my last one in Feb, but hey ho! Life as a Derbyshire Wedding Photographer is busy!!!

Weddings

So we’re 6 months into 2017, the longest day is tomorrow and the weather is mental!!! God it’s been so so hot for Ben at the last few weddings. On the plus side, we’ve had the genuine pleasure of so many truly lovely couples – we are very honoured to be a part of their lives. We’ve photographed 20 weddings so far this year and among them we’ve had Shelley & Rob – the giant wedding at Pimhill Barn with 250 guests! The very glamorous Karl & Alison at The West Mill with a beautiful vintage dress. Ben & Rachel’s music filled wedding at The Arwright Rooms in Nottingham. Olivia, Chris & their beautiful smiling daughter at Swancar Farm. Zorina & Mark and their two lovely children at Goosedale.

Commercial

In March, Ben did a shoot with the always talented Nadia Di Tullio Flowers. They’ve had a special moon made recently which we love! AND it’s available to hire!!

Holiday in Northumberland

Took a little trip to Northumberland (near Alnwick) which was beautiful even in March!! Ate loads of cake, drank lots of tea, walked on lots of beaches – the dogs loved it! On the way home – we stopped off for some food – god it was delicious! Rileys Fish Shack – well worth it if you’re ever in the area!

Bluebell Woods

In May, we headed over to a brand new venue near Yoxall which is going to be amazing! Bluebells in the spring, gorgeous woodland, open views and tipis to boot! We collaberated with some amazing people on this shoot – make sure you click through to the blog post to see all the prettiness. Our dog Scampi even made an appearance!!!! Here’s the Blog Post…

Holiday in Jersey

At the end of May, after our Giant Wedding Show we took a little trip over to Jersey – this is the place we got enaged and will always be very special to us. We ate an awful lot of seafood, walked on a lot of beaches and generally relaxed. The dogs in the meantime, were having a whale of a time at Poochie Play centre in Derby – they had a great time.

Below is Corbiere Lighthouse – this is where we got engaged and it’s forming part of Bens tattoo sleeve (more on that in my next blog post)!

The Big Band

He’s also done some work with The Mini Big Band. A really amazing big band that tours throughout the country, made up of a few people that Ben went to uni with as a musician. They’re well worth checking out: www.theminibigband.co.ukband music photo shoot

Babies + Families!!!

Not to mention some super cute baby shoots with our wedding clients and their new additions!! It’s always great to see some old faces again, relaxing at home! Check out our Family Information Page – Click Here

Me

Me….. I’ve been working away at my desk making lots of plans, designing lots of gorgeous albums and doing the odd Stop Motion Video – here’s one of my favourites from this year…

Clumber Park… Coming Soon!

This month Ben has photographed an Alice in Wonderland themed styled shoot at Clumber Park – nothing is ready from that shoot yet but stay tuned…..

And of course, Ben & I planned The Giant Wedding Show at Osmaston Park in May – it was an awesome day – we had 600 brides through the door at this event and so many wonderful suppliers.
