We love these two! They’ve been though so much to get to their wedding day and they are a genuinely lovely couple, so obviously in love.
They chose Mickleover Court Hotel as their venue and we went to see Rachael first as she got ready with her sister in one of the rooms. After some pics with mum and Rachael’s adorable little boys we went off to find Ian and his best man, who incidentally went to school with Ben – it’s a small world.
As soon as everyone was ushered into the ceremony room, Rachael came down looking absolutely stunning in her dress. The marriage was beautiful, notwithstanding a few tears!!
The weather on the day was a little dubious (that’s February for you!), so we’d found a handy window earlier in the day and set up with flash boxes ready for the group shots, but Rachael and Ian were keen to get outside for a few photos so we put them in our car and popped over the road.
After making good use of the lift in the foyer of Mickleover Court (always nice to have a bit of fun) the wedding party sat down for the meal and while I nipped off for a sandwich, Ben took on his other role as saxophonist to play throughout the wedding breakfast. Some very touching speeches followed (I actually had tears in my eyes) and then the evening reception – they picked Amazed by Lonestar as their first dance which is a song we had at our wedding- that set me off again!!
Anyway it was a beautiful wedding and I’m really looking forward to designing their album.
By the way, this wedding would never have taken place if it weren’t for the amazing care that Ian received from Birmingham Hospital – please click here to make a donation.

If you can, please make a donation to the people that helped Ian through his fight with Leukaemia.
Its a very worthy charity and helps a lot of people all over the world!
