What a day for a wedding! So warm, it was like a summers day. After we had made a preliminary visit to the church at Holme Pierrepoint and the hotel we made our way to see the girls as they got ready. Such a relaxed atmosphere at the house even with four bridesmaids and the bride – beautiful choices for the dresses, so unusual and yet worked so well especially with the weather!
Matt looked great when we found him at the church – very relaxed in an excellent floral shirt! After the ceremony, just a few quick photos at the church and then we were off to the hotel – I think everyone was gasping for a drink, it was so hot!
The hotel has a very quaint garden to the rear which we used for the family photos and once Matt’s parents had arrived from France we were all done – time to stand back and capture the day as it unfolded from the background.
A quick break while they ate and then we set the disco up ready for the evening do. A friend of theirs is a singer and after a great set from him (including a special rendition of Maggie May) it was time for Ben to put on his DJ hat! It was a fantastic night – man this lot can dance, I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty!
Anyway, Brigit and Matt make a superb couple and we wish them, Emily & Jacob all the very best for their future lives together!
