A Blithfield Lakeside Barn wedding

We always love it when people we know get in touch and ask us to photograph their wedding. It means so much to us that people trust us to document their wedding. We share laughs, tears, food, drink and every part of the day with you and your guests and it really means a lot to us that you want us along for the ride!

I’ve know Sam from the good old school days – I can’t believe it’s well over 10 years later that we’re finally catching up again! It was also awesome to meet Adam – you guys are so well matched and despite everything that you’ve been through over the last couple of years, you both look as happy as can be!!

I almost forgot – there’s another addition to the family – Their fur baby, Bella the French Bulldog. She’s was amazing and I sooooo wanted to take her home to join our pack.

As we arrived at Blithfield Lakeside Barns, we could see the triple hat of Tipi’s looking glorious on the horizon, overlooking the lake. Despite a mad panic of trying to get them ready early that morning, they looked even more impressive inside too! We do love a tipi wedding – they’re always so much fun, and everyone seems to truly relax and just enjoy the day!

We joined Sam and her girls while they were having her hair and makeup done, before heading off to the church. Sam choose to get married in the chapel of her old school – such a nice building, inside and out in the middle of Abbots Bromley and it was a nice touch to be able to get married where she sat and sang as a school girl! Even better new, the vicar was lovely!

With the ceremony finished we headed back to the Tipi’s for the fun and games to begin. Hook a duck, hoopla, beer bottles in a bath and some serious games of Giant Jenga. I mean REALLY serious games of Jenga.

After a few photos the food was waiting for us, so we headed inside for Afternoon Tea. Everyone didn’t need much encouragement to start eating – it all looked so delicious. Sandwich’s, sausages rolls, pastries, cakes & scones. Yum!! It wasn’t long before it was time for speeches and then the evening reception. Before the light totally disappeared and day became night, we took a quick walk down to the lake for a few photos and then headed back to the tipi for some sparklers, a cake cut and first dance. Everyone hit the dance floor hard for a little while, and then the announcement of “food was ready” drew everyone over to a giant paella pan, hog roast and ice-cream bike.

It was an amazing day – we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with you all. We’ve put together a little preview of photos for you to enjoy while we work on your full gallery! Turn it up loud… and enjoy!!!
