Rachel & Mikes wedding photos at Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire
Alrewas Hayes wedding venue
We love local wedding venues and Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire is on our doorstep. With a gorgeous old farmhouse, a beautiful marquee, lots of open fields around and a lake, it’s an amazing place for a wedding – Rachel and Mike picked well!
So, our day started by joining the guys while they got ready. I’ve never seen a groom’s room look so neat and organised. The suits were all laid out in a coordinated fashion, the guys all standing by, ready to don them. Very impressed gents… normally it’s chaos! After they were ready, I headed up to see how Rachel was getting on. Rachel is the loveliest, sweetest person you’re ever likely to meet (although I hear she’s occasionally stroppy too 🙂 I don’t believe it for a second!!!!). She greeted us with a big beaming smile as we arrived, and we knew it was going to be a good day.
There were lots of emotions at this wedding, which is something we love. It shows you really care! As I arrived at the front to find Mike there, waiting nervously, with a slight tear in his eye, I knew it was going to be an emotional one. As the girls arrived, it was plain to see Mikes love for Rachel. She looked a million dollars and I think there were many tears shed through their wedding ceremony, me included! We got through it and headed outside into the sun for a few drinks, some photos and a play in the woods before dinner and speeches. We took the opportunity after dinner to head outside for a few minutes and play in the corn field with the coolest moody sky ever! I might have used some smoke too 😉
The rest of the day went off without a hitch (no pun intended!). Dancing, drinks and lots of merriment – Everyone look liked they were having such a good time and we loved every second of the day! You guys were awesome!
Here’s a little preview for you to enjoy while we work on the full gallery of photos!
