We’ve known Nic & Jim for a while now as they are friends of Ben’s brother & sister in law, so we were very honored to be asked to photograph their beautiful wedding and we’re so glad they did as it was gorgeous!!
They chose Mayfield Hall near Ashbourne as their venue, it’s lovely mixture of shabby chic and country house charm. Nic wore a gorgeous dress and had dried flowers in her hair with lots of cascading curls… she looked so very very pretty! She came down the stairs to marry Jim in the Lounge at the hall with lots of love & emotion in the air!
Thankfully the rain held off and we all headed into the garden for drinks amongst the straw bales, bunting and lanterns not forgetting the ice cream from a pretty vintage van. After a few photos it was time to head inside for an afternoon tea where all the chairs and tables had been hired specially from The Poppy Trading Co.
I can’t tell you just how much gorgeous detail there was at the wedding, so much thought…. pretty pink bridesmaid dresses, a guest message tree with paper birds, lace wreaths, dried flower bouquets, wild flower seeds for favours, polka dot touches to both their outfits, a cheese cake tower and so many more!
Nic & Jim – you are such a well matched couple and wonderful people to boot. Thank you for including us in your wedding day!
Don’t forget to leave them a message to read at the bottom of this blog! 🙂
