Its not every day you get married so why not take the chance to do something very cool on your wedding day once the sun goes down? We decided to have a bit of a play with some torches and see what light painting effects we could come up with. Then we got bored with the safety of torches so we thought we do the same thing with flames to make things a bit more interesting….. Love the effect it creates! Fancy this on your wedding evening? Nicola and Steve chose Colwick Hall in Nottingham for their wedding venue and it was just perfect for the particularly nice styling chosen by the couple for their big day – lovely flowers and chair sashes. Great canapes for the guests including mini fish and chips and a very temping sweet table. We had great fun with these two and even tried out some video for them as a surprise!! Best of luck for the future guys and here are some of the best bits including the video which you need to watch with the sound on!

Grahame was great leading up to the wedding day, it’s not that often that we deal with the groom rather than the bride, but he was just so keen to get everything right! This was our first time at Brownsover Hall Hotel in Rugby, but it is a great wedding venue – beautiful building, great gardens and some interesting features to make the most off. Keri looked gorgeous and for anyone needing ideas for flowers – have a look at these! Anyway we loved this wedding and here a few of the pictures from the day…

When we first met John & Bev at a wedding fayre we couldn’t do their date as we were already booked, but two months later that wedding was postponed and thankfully Bev & John hadn’t found anyone yet – must have been fate! Anyway we found the ladies getting ready at Bev’s daughters house – it was very noisy but lots of fun. Then off to the church in Hucknall for an emotional ceremony followed by lots of photos in the church grounds. For those of you interested in photography stuff, we used a bit of off camera flash to create some drama in the images. It was a great day, John & Bev are a really lovely couple and they are surrounded by fabulous family & friends – good luck for the future and here are a few of our favourites from the day…

Sharon & Lee chose the Holiday Inn in Ellesmere Port for their wedding day and what a great location it was! You rarely find a Holiday Inn surrounded by interesting scenery, but this one is surrounded by the canal system which made for some lovely pics! Sharon looked stunning in her dress, her bridesmaids looked great in purple and Lee scrubbed up pretty well too! Here are a few shots from the day…

We met Ava, Dan and their little girl Angel back in February; it never fails to amaze me how quickly time passes. They got married at The Hallmark Hotel in Derby – it’s a great wedding venue because although it is in the city centre it still has a lovely garden for photos. Anyway Dan arrived with the guys in a beautiful Bentley followed by Ava in a classic Rolls-Royce and they had a lovely ceremony serenaded by a harpist. Great weather for photos so everything was done outside, Ava really is a beautiful young lady and we made sure that we got plenty of images of her on her own as well as the photos of the couple together. Angel was also on top form – I just love the photo with her in her Dad’s top hat!! Here are a few of our favs from the day…

We spent the day in the backstreets of Birmingham with one of the top UK photographers, Steve Gerrard and newly engaged couple Jamie & Lana! There are so many different locations and things to take photos of in such a small area and we made the most of our amazing couple Jamie and Lana. Whilst trying to soak up everything that Steve had to say like a sponge, we managed to get a few shots in some great urban settings. Its amazing what you come across when you open your eyes! Here are a few of our favourites from the afternoon…
All credit goes to Marina for the amount of organisation this wedding must have taken! It was a beautiful wedding – the Old Royal Naval College is just stunning and the boat on The Thames was fantastic. To top it all off Marina & Tom make such a lovely couple – so obviously in love…I think I could have included all the photos from the wedding on this blog but there isn’t enough room so here’s just a few of my favourites!

We had such fun at this wedding! I already knew Stuart’s Mum and Dad, but by the end of the day we felt like we’d known everyone for ages – such a great group of people! Stef got ready with all her girls (and Roger!) in the morning at her parents house. She looked stunning in her dress and the girls looked amazing in theirs too! After a quick re-application of makeup which inevitably followed after a lot of tears (happy ones!) it was off to one of Derbyshire’s most beautiful wedding venues, Newton Park Hotel in Newton Solney. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful summers day…the perfect day for a wedding. After a beautiful ceremony (and more tears mostly from the bridesmaid) we whisked Stef and Stuart off for a drive to Repton to make use of the beautiful buildings there and on the way back even managed to stop at a corn field for a couple of quick shots before being greeted by their guests outside back at the hotel. Stef and Stuart make such a lovely couple and its clear they’re mad about each other. We had a great day with them and their family and friends! Here are a few our of favourite shots…
